So I was having fun looking through some artist's journals and reading up on my contemporaries and came across a quote that I really liked:

"If you must economize, be stingy with your wife, your clothes, your food, but never on what will make your pictures better. This may sound almost immoral but in the end if you make better pictures you will make more money and then you can enjoy the food and the clothes and buy your wife a mink coat."  -Norman Rockwell
Norman Rockwell makes a fantastic point. Artists cannot afford to be stingy with their art. Without their art, artists have nothing (unless they have a job on the side, lol). With the cost of living gone up recently, economizing is going to have to happen. However, economizing your art will only hurt you. :)

Sorry for the lack of posting my friends. It's been a while since I've had some spare time to just sit on my butt and collect my life up to this date. I've been working my ass off, trying to find a job. However, I'm not desperate yet. The time, that I haven't had to update my journal, has been used to:
  • complete my resume
  • put together a portfolio, print and digital
  • find a web hosting service that is cheap enough that gives me the best overall package for the price
  • finalize website design (which by the way, will be accessible very, very soon)
Well anyways, that's what I've been up to lately and now need to get back to some more work. I'll post as soon as my website is back up again! :)

I'm sure many of you have experienced unemployment. I, my friends, am just such a person. I AM UNEMPLOYED! PLEASE HELP ME OUT!

As a recent college graduate artist, I am still looking for a job and we all know how tough that can be considering the current recession. If anyone knows of any graphic design jobs/illustration/or anything for that matter, please let me know!

My artwork can be viewed at camada.deviantart.com. I try to update regularly.

The reason I am telling you all this is because I am opening up my services for commission. It will be based on first-come-first-serve and I will start out with 10 open spaces. I will consider opening more if I receive a large amount of interest.

Please, only serious commissioners should be contacting me. If you cannot pay, then I'm sorry, but I cannot accept your commission. I really need the money and I'm willing to do pretty much any commission, as long as it is reasonable. I will decide the commission's reasonableness when I talk with each commissioner.

Pricing and payment methods will be discussed with commissioners. Pricing will be decided based upon time, materials, and other specifics.

If anyone would like to commission me e-mail me at drawn.out.love@gmail.com. Come on people I know you want to help me out!!! So please, PLEASE! Tell all your friends and tell your friends to tell their friends and so on.
